The City Where Dreams Come True

My life is getting flipped, turned upside-down.

Lots of changes. I started a new job, I’m moving out of my parents’ house for realzies, and I just went on my first solo airplane ride.

The one constant is my wonderful clan. The magic of good friends. The reminders that we’re not alone when everything gets crazy.

I spent last weekend with my best pals from college, and the whole trip was a blast. The timing of everything worked out perfectly, from running out of gas and getting a ride in a pedicab to a gas station, to the sky opening its tear ducts as soon as we left Rocky Mountain National Park. We floated from adventure to adventure. It summed up our friendship pretty well.

We’re all a bunch of newspaper nerds, so we decided — after sneaking into The Denver Post’s lobby — to go on regular trips across the country to “collect” newspapers in major cities. And so it begins.

Now I’m off to do adult things, like put together more IKEA furniture and figure out how to take care of myself and my dear friend and roommate. Onward!
